BLOGMAS Day 20 // Christmas Nail Art

I’ve loved nail art for years now, so naturally whenever an occasion comes around, I like to have multiple options for what I can do with my nails. So today I’m showing you guys 4 of my top picks for nail art during the festive/party season!

IMG_0285I think this design is geared towards someone who wants to dress up their nails, but doesn’t want to go overboard with an intricate or cutesy design. This look is definitely more toned down and sophisticated.

All you have to do to achieve this design is paint your nails with a base coat, then apply whatever colour you’d like, wait for that to dry, then apply a top coat, and once that’s dry as well, using a glittery nail polish, just apply one single sweep in each direction on the tips of your nails.

IMG_0296This design might be my favourite Christmas one of all time! I love the a classic cherry-red at this time of year, and with the Maybelline Colour Show ‘Let It Snow’ set, you can add a sprinkling of snow over the top! Obviously you can switch up the base coat to your favourite colour, or whatever matches your outfit/accessories, but I love this classic look.

All you need to achieve this design is the Maybelline Colour Show set. Simply paint your nails with the base coat, wait for it to dry completely, then add the top coat, and you’re done!

IMG_0303A Christmas classic for me. Every year I like to break out the candy-cane nails at some point, so here they are! I love this design because it’s so cute and kitschy, looks amazing and impressive, but takes no time at all!

To achieve this look, you need a quick-drying white colour, I used the Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine polish, wait for it to completely dry, then with a red/pink nail art pen/fine brush, sweep across your nails in straight lines to achieve the look of a candy-cane. Try to alternate between thicker and thinner lines too.IMG_0304.jpg

And finally, if you want to express your love for the holidays, but you aren’t overly confident when it comes to painting your nails/doing nail art in general, then at this time of year there are always glue on nails that you can try out! This design is really cute, and takes about 5 seconds to glue a nail on.

These nails were from Primark, and were only £1!

That’s it for my Christmas themed nail art choices for this year, let me know which design is your favourite!
