A Day Through A Lense & EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENTS

I contemplated waiting until the end of this post to share my news with you guys, but it has been over a month in the works and I just can’t wait any longer, so I’m opening this post with it!

I’m going to be daily blogging for the whole month of June! AND I’ve only gone and set myself up for a weekly podcast series for this month too!

Obviously the posts are going to be going up every single day this month, and each Friday post is going to be the podcast. The podcasts are going to feature myself and my friend Gemma, as we talk to you guys, answer your questions, play music and just chat like friends do! (The podcast posts start on Friday, May 10th and continue until the 1st of July)

So with that exciting news finally out there, let’s kick off this awesome month with a fun day in the life post. I recently had a lovely day out, and I took some snaps throughout the day, so I thought I’d compile a little photo diary of that day, I hope you enjoy it!IMG_2565IMG_2566IMG_2572IMG_2577IMG_2578IMG_2584IMG_2590IMG_2592

I hope that you enjoyed this photo diary style post, let me know if you’d like to see more of these!

What have you been up to lately?

May Snippets

Here we are again! Another month, another snippets vlog! This month was a super fun one for me, because I got to see a lot of my good pals, and as you see, my friend Hannah and I went to the cinema to see Captain America Civil War, (fun fact, I actually watched it with my family again the next day!)

I also decided that the reign of pink hair had to come to an end, as the colour had faded quite drastically over the last month, and I wanted to go for a darker brown again.

Myself and my friend were also fortunate enough to be invited to an Alice In Wonderland themed event with Urban Decay, in celebration of their 2016 Alice In Wonderland collection. You can check out my round up of the event HERE, and an in depth review of the new palette HERE. We were given tasty treats, alongside a tutorial with the new products, and an awesome goody bag!

I also had another brand new experience, as I got to work with an amazing company, Boutique of Molly, in reviewing 2 of their gorgeous dresses.

Then the roadtrip fun kicked in. With my University, we got to go to BT Sports Studios in London to watch the UEFA Europa League Final, Liverpool V Sevilla live, and then be a part of the live studio audience for BT’s The Football’s On! That was a really unique and exciting experience, the outcome may have been less than chill, but it was a great experience!

And finally I got to end my month with one of my bestest pals, Bella! We got to spend an unplanned 24 hours together, and it was a roller coaster of hilariousness.

So without further explanation, here’s my May Snippets! I hope you guys had a great month, be sure to let me know what your favourite moment in the video is!

What did you get up to this month? Tell me in the comments!

January Snippets

That’s right, you sensed it coming, we’re at the end of another month!

This year, I decided that instead of strictly beauty favourites with some added extras, I’m going to post a monthly round-up, with a video and some stills from particular events throughout the month.

One of my favourite days from the past month was a day I spent with one of my fabulous pals, so I’ve collated some pictures from that day here. (And how awesome is it that every picture I took seems to have a pink-hue too!)

This month I wanted to venture out a little bit more, so I decided to do some little things like learning the piano, and as I miss a studying religion and philosophy, I also searched for some books on the topic. I’ve travelled a lot, walked a lot, spent a lot of time by one of my favourite places, the sea, and I also won an awesome giveaway from Rebecca at Wavesofthoughts!

As you guys might be able to tell, I’m going to make posts like this a monthly series, but I still don’t have a proper name for it! So right now I’m just calling it ‘snippets’, if you can think of a name please let me know in the comments!

What was your favourite thing from the past month?

A Day In The Life: Pet Owner

As I mentioned in my previous post, I always think it’s nice to have a little insight into someone’s life that you may not usually get to see. So today I thought I’d give you all a look into a different area of my life; my pets. I think this post will be multi-purposeful because not only will it just give you a little peek into this area of my life, but it might help you if you are considering getting a pet, I will outline all of the responsibilities, but also all of the amazing rewards that come with them. And they are all very cute, so that’s always a plus. So here we go!

A day in the life…

7.00am – On a usual day I will begrudgingly part ways with my bed after being padded at and snuggled by Milo, and once he’s successfully woken me up I immediately throw my curtains back (a great way to help you wake up in the morning, the sunshine suppresses melatonin, the hormone that tells your body to sleep!).

7.10am – In order to ensure I can have a peaceful breakfast and general peaceful morning, I do as the many repetitive cries tell me, and feed everyone before preparing food for myself. (Everyone’s always most grateful though, so I don’t resent it)

This stage obviously is arguably the biggest responsibility that comes along with pets. This is not only because it takes your time and money, but you need to ensure you fully understand your pets dietary requirements. For example, the Chinchillas can’t have a lot of sugary foods as much like Degus, they are high risk for diabetes, so treats must be kept to a minimum. Remember also that every animal is different, so you have to know that not everyone can have the same thing; for example, Milo gets fed less and more often than the other cats because he can’t stomach larger-less frequent meals, Hemingway despises carrots, whereas Jack loves them, but they both must have them rarely as carrots aren’t actually good for Buns. It’s always heavily important to do your research about any animal before you invest in giving one a home.

7.30am – By now everyone is well fed and settled (usually into their morning naps) and my morning is free for non-pet related activities.

10.30am – At this point of the morning when I’m home, I’ll move onto cleaning out and refreshing the bedding for the Buns, Guineas and Chinchillas (cuddle time ensues).

Again, this is another important responsibility for the hygiene of your pets. Without frequent bedding changes, your Buns and Guineas are at risk of mites and diseases. Furthermore, some pets can actually be allergic to certain types of bedding, so it’s always best to remain safe and not frequently change the brand of what you use for bedding, and if you have to, mix your current one with the one you are changing to and keep an eye on your pets eyes, skin and any sneezes you might hear (tiny sneezes are adorable, but remember your pet is telling you it’s agitating them!)

11am – And once again I am able to take a little break to sort out any non-animal related things on the agenda.

1pm – If I’m home and have a bit of free time and the weather permits, I like to spend some of the afternoon with the dogs, going for a short walk or just a spot of playing in the garden.

2pm – By now we’re home again just in time for everyone’s scheduled afternoon nap.

3.30pm – Uncle Tyler comes home. Everyone rushes to greet him.

IMAG2314

3.35pm – Everyone has their own cuddle and play time.

4.30pm – Everyone is now in scheduled phase 2 of ‘Afternoon Nap’.

8.30pm – Dinner time at the zoo. Everyone has their water and food bowls topped up before winding down for the evening (Though this is now morning time for the Chinchillas who are nocturnal, they are just watching their equivalent of early morning television).

10pm – By now, everyone’s eyes are fighting to stay open, and usually Sawyer has complained enough at the lights being on, alerting us all that he is ready for bed.

10.30pm – We’re all snuggled and in the land of dreams.
