Back To School 4 Easy Hairstyles

Easy Back To School HairstylesI know, how you’re going to wear your hair for when you go back to school isn’t at the forefront of your mind when you think about back to school. So don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Today I’m sharing with you guys, 4 super easy hairstyles that you can wear when you go back to school!

High Ponytail with Headband | This hairstyle is super easy, and also great for hiding a bad hair day, or if your hair isn’t feeling really fresh, and you just want it up and out of the way. The headband makes this style look super cute and adds another element to it.

Two Braids | This hairstyle is a little more work, but if you can french-braid hair, then this style is very achievable. You simply braid your fringe back from your face, and secure it with a hair elastic, then you braid a section of hair that’s roughly the same size away from your face on the other side. Then you join the two braids together.

High Messy Bun | This hairstyle is one of my favourites when I really don’t want to do anything with my hair, but I don’t want it in my face, or getting in the way. (This style is also super useful for if it’s a really hot day, as all of your hair is up, and not tickling you neck, or making it sweaty!) I have a post on how to do this style, but all it really is, is a high ponytail, you twist is to collect all of the hair together, and then wrap it around the base of the ponytail, then secure it all with another hair tie.

Messy Braids | If you’re not a particular fan of a ‘styled’ look, and you prefer to have your hair down and messy, then this style could work for you! All you have to do is flip all of your hair to one side of your head, then secure it with some bobby pins, just so you don’t have to keep moving it all back over to one particular side. Then just add some random braids in wherever you like, the point is to make it look messy and casual. You can add some salt spray if you’d like, to keep your hair tousled all day.

That’s it for some simple hairstyles for back to school, I hope you guys try these out! If you do, be sure to let me know which one was your favourite!

Back To School Supplies & Essentials

Back To School Supplies & EssentialsBack To School Supplies & EssentialsBack To School Supplies & EssentialsBack To School Supplies & EssentialsBack To School Supplies & EssentialsIt’s that time again: Back to school! I know it can be daunting, and not a particularly exciting time, but I find that if you make a day of it, to go out and treat yourself to some nice brand new school supplies, books and stationery. Having cute things to pack in your bag definitely amps up your mood and gets you more excited for back to school, than dreading it.

So today I’m sharing with you guys some things that I picked up recently, with a back to school theme!

DSCN2060Notebooks | I chose a smaller A5 notebook, and a larger A4 notebook, because I like to have plenty of writing paper, but also sometimes I’ll only want to make light notes for a project, but in other classes it’s better to have a larger notebook, where you can go into more depth. I also chose a plain lavender notebook, but I have decorated it myself with these cute stickers!DSCN2062Document Holder | I thought this little folder was not only really cute, but insanely useful. Normally I’ll have a few pieces of paper with important information on them, somewhere. That’s the worst thing, knowing that you’ve got a specific piece of paper that you really need, but you’re not entirely sure just where it is. So I know that this little folder will really help me out, because I can keep all of these stray pieces of paper in one safe place.

Academic Planner | If you’ve gotten to the point in school where you are no longer given a weekly planner, I’d highly recommend getting your hands onto one of these. They follow the academic year as opposed to a regular year, meaning they start in August instead of January, and end in July instead of December!DSCN2056Weekly Planner | I feel that maybe this particular item is a lot more useful for older students who are living on their own for the first time. This handy little magnetic pad can be put on your fridge, and you can write down your plans for the week. Be it classes, events either work-related or social, you can have a visual layout of what the week ahead of you looks like. It’s also available in a meal-planner version, meaning you can plan your meals for the week, combined with a shopping list section so you can shop for the items you’ll need for you planned meals for the week. (Very good for breaking your reliability on microwave and takeaway meals!)DSCN2063Pens, Pencils, Highlighters & Rubbers | These items are probably the most obvious to have. I just thought that these rubbers were insanely cute, so I couldn’t resist them!DSCN2065

And that’s it! I hope this gave you guys some inspiration towards what to get before going back to school. So let’s get excited for seeing friends and a fresh start!
