Perfume Picks

*This post was requested by Luxe Brands, with perfume compensation.

Hey guys! I recently mentioned on Instagram that I couldn’t believe that I’d never written a post about perfume, because I have quite a collection!

So today I’m going to give you a run through my favourites!

IMG_1913Katy Perry’s Meow! | This is my favourite year-around perfume because it is quite light. The most prominent scents are jasmine and vanilla, which keep this perfume sweet and fruity, but it’s not strong or overwhelming. Plus look at how cute the bottle is, I mean it’s a cat, c’mon. I think it’s suitable for day or evening wear!

Zoella’s Let’s Spirtz! | I wanted to mix this post up by including some body mists too, and this one is one of my summer favourites. I think that Zoella Beauty got it really right with this body mist, because it’s a lot stronger than most body mists, I’d definitely class this as more of an affordable perfume. The notes of raspberry and cassis are quite strong, so this is much more of a daytime summer fragrance for me.

Ariana Grande’s Ari | This perfume is really unique, with sparkling fruits and an ultra-feminine floral scent, spun with musks, woods, and a hint of marshmallow. I do really like wearing this perfume, and again it is suitable to be worn year-around, day to night, but the marshmallow tones means that with frequent wear, it does smell a bit too sickly.

Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle | This is actually an oriental fragrance, but it is still surprisingly fresh. Unfortunately because of the overwhelming tone of fresh orange, I can’t wear this perfume very often because it is really strong (and people tend to love or hate it.) It also contains light accords of jasmine and rose, which adds to the overall freshness of this perfume. I tend to reserve it for when I’m going out now, because it’s a long-lasting perfume, guaranteed to last through the night.

IMG_1918Ted Baker’s Body Mist | This body mist is actually the reason I picked up a Ted Baker gift set back during the Christmas period. This is my favourite body mist to wear, because it’s main notes are grapefruit and mango. These, teamed with subtle floral notes of neroli and jasmine, makes this another suitable scent for every occasion, all year around. I just wish it wasn’t so water based, so it could last longer.

Beyonce’s Heat | This perfume really lives up to all of the saucy advertisement surrounding it. It’s super sexy, perfect for wearing in the inescapably warm summer evenings. I can’t do this scent justice, so I’ll leave you with the description from the site, “Heat is a floral, fruity, woody perfume that features rare, sensual flowers and is both feminine and irresistible.”

Katy Perry’s Killer Queen | This self described ‘floriental fragrance’, contains notes of dark berries and lush plum that ‘blend into an opulent floral heart.’ It then blends into an intoxicating background of precious woods and sensual musk. This is no doubt, a highly unique fragrance, again I think it’s a more of an evening fragrance, just because it’s deeper than most scents.

Katy Perry’s Purr | In an online survey, people voted this fragrance as a Spring daytime perfume, and I think it’s mainly down to its main notes of forbidden apple and green bamboo. It maintains itself as a girly and wearable fragrance, with the heart of jasmine, pink freesia and Bulgarian rose.

That’s it for my top perfume picks, I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments what your favourite all time fragrance is!

Zoella Beauty: Tutti Fruity Collection

Zoella Beauty Tutti Fruity
‘Fresh Fizz’ Bath Fizzer £5

A couple of weeks ago, Zoella beauty got a brand new range, Tutti Fruity! So naturally, I headed down to Superdrug (the range is also available from Feel Unique) and picked up a few of the products to talk about today.

Zoella Beauty Tutti Fruity
‘Let’s Spritz’ Body Mist £8

The range features some of the original products with an updated tutti fruity scent along with some new products altogether. The previous ‘Fizz Bar’ is now also available in a slimmer version, ‘Fresh Fizz’. There is a new exclusively shower gel ‘Foam Sweet Foam’ alongside the original ‘Soak Opera’ bath soak. The ‘Creamy Madly Dreamy’ body lotion is joined by ‘Candy Cream’, and the original body mist ‘Blissful Mistful’ is now joined by ‘Let’s Spritz’.

Zoella Beauty Tutti Fruity
‘Foam Sweet Foam’ Shower Gel £3.50

The brand new products are a tinted lip balm ‘Kissy Missy’ and a sugar body scrub ‘Scrubbing Me Softly’. This lip balm really is amazing. Upon opening it I didn’t expect it to be scented at all, but just like the rest of the range, it has a very light but pleasing fruity scent. This lip balm is pretty much wearable by anyone, as you can chose to wear it very lightly, and have just a touch of pink on the lips, or build up the product and have a very vibrant pink, all the while being highly moisturising! And at £3, it’s a great deal for having a lip balm that is cute and does good.

I was expecting this shower gel to do good, but like most shower gels, maybe the scent won’t stay with you for that long. I was wrong. This product lathers amazingly, meaning that it will last you for much longer than usual shower gels, and it leaves you smelling amazing for up to a day after use!

Zoella Beauty Tutti Fruity
‘Candy Cream’ Body Lotion £5

The new body mist is one of the best products to ever carry a tutti fruity scent. It’s packed with a mix of fruity and floral scents, so you don’t need to go overboard when wearing it, meaning this product really will last you for a long time! It’s perfect for if you don’t yet want to invest in a more expensive perfume, but you don’t want an average lightly scented body mist. Even though it’s a body mist I’d class this as one of my favourite perfumes as it can very easily be worn as one.

Zoella Beauty Tutti Fruity
‘Kissy Missy’ Lip Balm £3

With bursting beads and extracts of Acai and Blueberry, this body lotion is unlike any other. After applying, it absorbs quickly, and leaves you feeling fresh and clean. It also is lightly scented, so the scent isn’t overpowering, but it is still present, making you feel lovely all day long.

Now because of how outstanding these products are, I haven’t even gotten started about how adorable the packaging is, and none of the products are tested on animals. This range, and the original range, are both amazing and I’m so proud of and happy for Zoë.

And finally, Sawyer approves.

That’s it for today! Have you tried any products from the Zoella Beauty range? Let me know which is your favourite!
